How often do you plan on going? ClassPass offers gym sessions at Crunch. I wouldn’t bother considering Blink unless you really just want bare bones - and even then I’d rather just run outside and use free weights at home. Crunch is fine too though and the crowd is more or less the same type you’ll see at Equinox (was a member at the Bowery location years ago). When I first joined they gave me a free week, so go during your ideal days/times and see if it’s the right vibe for you. Locker rooms never felt insane or like cleaning staff couldn’t keep up, I never waited for a shower or mirror space in the mornings. I felt those two locations benefitted from a more dispersed crowd - early mornings were pretty quiet because not as many people live in Lower Manhattan compared to downtown, those that do live in the area tend to be more the 10 am - 2 pm “mommy crowd,” then the bankers work long hours so the 5-7pm rush isn’t as crazy as it might be in Midtown, and again, relatively fewer people returning home to the area. FiDi also has multiple racks but they’re split up across two floors in smaller areas, so the floor space feels more cramped than at Brookfield. Brookfield Place’s gym has a huge weight training area with plenty of space even during peak times, with multiple racks. Both have plenty of treadmills even during peak hours, I loved the upstairs treadmill area at FiDi. My primary gyms were FiDi and Brookfield Place (TriBeCa). I used to have an Equinox all gym membership in NYC and loved it.
